Staying hydrated daily is very important, especially in the warm summer months. Juniper Village welcomed Kelsey Ferlin - a Pre Med student at the University of Pittsburgh, who is volunteering this summer at the Shenango Inn. Kelsey is helping to educate the residents on important topics valuable to seniors. This month she brought us knowledge on staying hydrated. It is important to drink 1/2 cup a water every 15 minutes, a fact that no one that attended knew! Most of us only drink water to take medication, but this is not enough! Eight to ten glasses a day is recommended. So drink up and stay hydrated!
